Delete your account

In the app (immediate)

1. Open Apace and go to the You tab.
2. Tap Account.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no recovery window.

Without the app

If you no longer have Apace installed, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We verify the request against your sign-in email and complete the deletion.

What gets deleted

• Your account (email address, username, display name).
• Books you uploaded, your reading positions, and your bookmarks.
• Your friendships, invitations, and notifications.
• Your reading rooms and their history.

What is retained

• Messages you sent to friends remain visible to them, attributed to “Deleted user” — your name and account are unlinked from them.
• A one-way salted hash of your email address together with your total free-tier reading time, kept solely to prevent abuse of the free quota through repeated account deletion. It cannot be used to identify you or contact you.
• If you signed in with Apple, you can additionally revoke Apace's access under iOS Settings → Apple ID → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple.
